In 1958, Maggie is a Philadelphia heiress expected to follow a polished path toward a high-society wedding. Instead, she quietly puts those plans on hold and slips away to New York City, determined to pursue the dream she has kept hidden: dancing live on stage in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.
