A Nightmare Wakes

In this adaptation of Frankenstein, the story of Mary Shelley and the creation of her famous novel become entwined. Troubled by strain in her marriage and the pain of her miscarriages, Mary turns her suffering into the tale of Frankenstein. As she writes, her imagined monster begins to feel dangerously close, and the boundary between her life and her fiction starts to blur.
