A Patch of Fog

A famous writer and television host who teaches at a university is caught shoplifting by a security guard. Instead of calling the police, the guard makes an unsettling demand: come for a pint and become his friend. What begins as a threat disguised as a favor grows into a strange, coercive attachment, as the guarded public figure is pulled into a relationship he cannot easily escape.
