During the 1979 U.S. hostage crisis in Iran, six Americans escape the chaos in Tehran and find shelter in the home of the Canadian ambassador. With the Iranian revolution reaching a boiling point, a CIA exfiltration specialist creates a risky cover story: posing as a Hollywood producer scouting locations for a science fiction film, he launches a dangerous plan to get them out.
