Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1

Batman has vanished from Gotham City for ten years, leaving the streets to face a harsher and more dangerous kind of criminal. As violence spreads and the city falls under threat, 55-year-old Bruce Wayne is pushed out of retirement and back into the cape and cowl. Returning as Batman, he must confront a changed Gotham and ask whether he still has the strength, will, and skill to fight crime in a new era.
