When war erupts in the South Pacific against an enemy from another world, a group of freshly recruited U.S. Marines is pulled into the conflict and sent straight to the front lines. Far from home and facing a threat unlike any ordinary battlefield, the new soldiers enter a fight that has quickly become larger and more dangerous than they expected.
