In a New York apartment block slated for demolition, a feisty elderly couple and their neighbors refuse to be forced out by the criminal tactics of a ruthless land developer and a greedy tycoon planning a new skyscraper. Their fight seems hopeless until tiny mechanical aliens arrive looking for a recharge, then decide to stay and lend the residents an unexpected hand.
