A young, idealistic Hill staffer takes her first job in Washington, D.C., only to find a government in paralysis and partisan tensions reaching bizarre new levels. As she tries to make sense of the dysfunction around her, she uncovers a stranger cause behind the chaos: extraterrestrial insects have arrived on Earth and are eating the brains of a growing number of politicians and staffers.
