In the backwater Rust Belt town of Magguson, three residents move through lonely, damaged lives shaped by trauma, social service intervention, foster care, romance, and resentment. Each seems trapped in a private world of sadness and isolation, but their stories gradually reveal deeper connections within a community marked by hardship, hatred, and the need for human contact.
