At Pacific Palisades High, a poor Latino student falls hard for a troubled girl from an affluent neighborhood. Their attraction grows across a sharp divide of class and background, bringing together two teenagers whose lives appear to come from very different worlds. As their connection deepens, their romance is shaped by the pressures of who they are and where they come from.
