Newly single Brian Connor leaves for Maine and buys a long-abandoned house in the country, hoping for a fresh start in a quiet place. Once he moves in, the home’s past begins to press into his present when he finds himself communicating with a woman who lived there 50 years earlier. As their connection grows, Brian is drawn toward the mystery surrounding her unexplained death.
