Ellen Morgan, a neurotic bookstore owner in Los Angeles, faces everyday life with comedy, anxious energy and plenty of rambling. At Buy the Book, the shop where she works, Ellen spends her days surrounded by customers, coworkers and the concerns she cannot stop talking through. Away from the counter, she hangs around with her friends as they sort through lovers, work and family.
