In a world built from fake castles and anthropomorphic rodents, an unemployed father struggles to hold himself together. During a holiday visit, a chance encounter with two underage girls unsettles his sense of reality and sets off an increasingly fraught battle with his own sanity, as the cheerful fantasy around him begins to feel harder to trust.
