Ibinabo, a Nigerian immigrant in New York City, works as a cashier at a seafood restaurant while trying to make ends meet and support her family back home. Between long hours, the pressure to build a better future, and her pursuit of the American dream, she struggles to keep a social life alive. When loss and betrayal confront her, Ibinabo must navigate life far from home with limited stability and growing responsibilities.
