Fresh Off The Boat (season 1) is a film about Taiwan family moving from Washington D.C. to Orlando to put here the belief in new life in this “land of promise”. They open a barbecue restaurant on the last half of the 90s. While the mother struggled with the flow of American culture, the father was excited with his “American Dream”. Their 3 sons, Eddie and his two brothers are trying to mingle with new friends at school. The film is filled with half lauging and half crying. It’s a panorama of Asians in America.
