Still grieving the death of her father, a young woman spends one last summer at the Jersey Shore before leaving for college. When the future she has carefully planned begins to come apart, she finds herself drawn into an unfamiliar world of Russian sailors, high-stakes gambling, and unexpected romance, forcing her to face a summer that is far different from the farewell she imagined.
