Hal King

In the late 1950s beatnik jazz scene, Hal King moves through a world of music, drug addicts, and fast women while coming of age and falling in love. When he is drafted for the Korean War, the life he has been living collides with larger expectations, forcing him to weigh the pull of his father’s political legacy against his feelings for the woman he loves.
