Poppy is a cheery, colorful schoolteacher in North London who moves through life with a bright outlook and an open spirit. As the film follows a few chapters in her everyday world, her relentless optimism becomes both her defining strength and a source of frustration for the people around her, who do not always know what to make of her happy-go-lucky way of facing things.
