He Went That Way

In 1964, a tense three-day trip along Route 66 begins when 19-year-old Bobby Falls hitches a ride with Jim Goodwin, a celebrity animal handler traveling with his prized TV chimpanzee, Spanky. As the road stretches on, the uneasy journey brings out curious tensions and unexpected bonds between two travelers, and at times three, each moving along a path of his own.
