Hue and Cry

A gang of street boys discovers that a master crook is using a weekly comic strip to pass secret instructions for robberies, cunningly changing the wording without the knowledge of its writer or printer. As the hidden messages point to real crimes, the boys take it on themselves to expose the scheme and stop the criminal behind it. This 1947 film is the first of the Ealing comedies.
