Il Solengo
Il solengo is a documentary about Mario de Marcella, a hermit who lived in the woods near Rome. Known to hunters as Il Solengo, he takes his name from their word for a lone boar cut off from the rest of the pack. The film focuses on his story and the image of a man defined by solitude, distance from others, and a life apart in the forest.
