In the distant future, Earth is a changed world where ancient gods exist alongside genetically altered humans. When one god is condemned to die, he searches for a new human body to inhabit before his sentence can be carried out. His desperate quest draws him toward a woman who may be able to bear his child, setting human lives and divine power on a collision course.
