Night of the Big Heat

In the depths of winter, mainland Britain is gripped by freezing weather, but the northern island of Fara is trapped in a baffling heatwave, with temperatures soaring into the nineties. The staff at the Met station can offer no answers, and the regulars at the Swan are just as confused. Only a distant visiting scientist begins to understand that the unnatural heat may have an alien cause.
