In the early 17th century, three courageous and determined women leave England behind, each carrying a difficult past they hope to escape. Crossing the ocean to America, they seek the chance to begin again in a new world. Season 1 follows their arrival and the promise of a different life as they face the uncertainty of a future far from everything they have known.
