In a remote community deep in the woods, a supernatural pit is worshipped and feared by the people who live around it. When the pit demands a new blood sacrifice, Ada discovers that she has been chosen. Desperate to stay alive, she looks for a way to escape the fate expected of her, even as the pit reacts with growing anger.
