Letters From Iwo Jima

During World War II, the United States and Imperial Japan face each other in the battle of Iwo Jima. Told from the perspective of the Japanese who fought there, the film presents the conflict through the eyes of men on the island as they confront the realities of war, duty, and survival amid one of the defining battles of the Pacific campaign.
