Police detective Sam Tyler is living in the present day when a car crash changes everything. After the accident, he mysteriously finds himself back in 1973, still on the job as a detective but now in a world decades removed from his own. As he continues working within the police force, Sam is left to face the strange reality of a life that should not be possible.
