Maximum Ride

Six children genetically cross-bred with avian DNA live on the run, using their wings to stay ahead of the forces that created them. When wolf-boys abduct the youngest member of their flock and take her back to the militarized institution they escaped, the others launch a rescue plan that sends them across the country and closer to the truth about their origins.
