A young widower struggles to face the grief and family dysfunction left in the wake of his wife’s death. Rather than confront the loss directly, he steals her ashes and takes off on an impulsive trip through America’s heartland. As he keeps moving, his journey becomes less about escape and more about searching for something he lost long before she was gone.
