In the late 1990s, elderly and infirm Patrick arrives at the home of Marion and Tom, unsettling the quiet surface of their lives. His presence brings the past back into focus, revealing events from 40 years earlier, when Tom and Patrick shared a passionate relationship at a time when homosexuality was illegal.
