Anna Deavere Smith brings to life the stories of 18 real people, including current and former inmates, protesters, educators and politicians. Through dramatized accounts from students, parents, teachers and administrators, the film examines America’s school-to-prison pipeline and the underprivileged minority youth pushed from classrooms toward incarceration.
