A depressed suburban mattress store owner begins experiencing increasingly surreal anomalies in his everyday life. As the strange events unsettle his sense of reality, they put growing pressure on his relationships with friends and family. Forced to face the ways he has failed to communicate, he confronts the distance between himself, the people around him, and his own humanity.
