A seasoned American political consultant is brought to Bolivia to help secure the re-election of a controversial president. As the campaign unfolds, she applies hard-edged U.S. political tactics in a charged South American race while facing off against a longtime rival advising an opposing candidate. Based on the documentary of the same name, the film follows the export of American campaign strategy into another political arena.
