Pearl

In 1918, Pearl lives on her family’s isolated farm, caring for her ailing father while enduring the strict, overbearing control of her devout mother. Lonely and restless, she dreams of the glamorous life she has seen in the movies and becomes desperate to escape the drudgery and lovelessness around her. As her hunger for stardom grows, her ambitions, temptations, and repressed desires begin to collide.
