In late 1980s and early 1990s New York, Pose follows the city’s ball culture and the gay and trans community as they navigate a world shaped by the AIDS crisis, ambition and social change. This dance musical explores intersecting corners of New York life, from the underground ballroom scene to the rise of luxury capitalism in the Trump-era universe and the downtown social and literary scene.
