Potato Dreams of America

In this autobiographical dark comedy based on a true story, a gay boy grows up in the collapsing Soviet Union alongside his courageous mother. As life in the USSR unravels, she becomes a mail-order bride, setting them on an uncertain and adventurous path toward a new life in America, with Seattle in the 1990s as their destination.
