Redacted

Set in Samarra in 2006, Redacted uses a fictional documentary style to reconstruct the rape and murder of a 15-year-old Iraqi girl by American soldiers. Through interviews with members of a U.S. military unit, media figures, and local Iraqis, the film examines the impact of the Iraq War on both soldiers and civilians caught in its violence.
