Ryan's Daughter

After the 1916 Easter Rising, life in a small Irish village is marked by unrest and divided loyalties. A married schoolteacher becomes involved with a troubled British officer, drawing her private longings into the tensions around her. As their affair grows, her marriage and place in the community are tested against the charged atmosphere of the time.
