The Decline of Western Civilization

This film looks at the Los Angeles punk rock scene circa 1980, focusing on music that had been largely ignored by the rock press of the time. Centering on the bands and their place within that scene, it features Alice Bag Band, Black Flag, Catholic Discipline, Circle Jerks, Fear, Germs, and X as part of a snapshot of the city’s punk culture.
