Joseph Chambers is a family man and insurance salesman who fears the apocalypse and wants to prove his survivalist skills and manliness to his family. Acting on that need, he makes the irresponsible choice to head into the woods alone for a deer-hunting experiment, testing himself in isolation and pushing far beyond the ordinary routines of his life.
