A group of college students heads to Joshua Tree, California, for a weekend camping trip tied to their Cultural Anthropology project. Their goal is to research and debunk an internet creepypasta urban legend for an anthropology thesis. But as they dig deeper into the story they came to study, the line between folklore and reality begins to blur, pulling them into the legend themselves.
