In New York City, a hopeless romantic who feels uncertain about his future in medical school meets a young woman hardened by bad luck and skeptical of love. Over the course of one day, the two begin to fall for each other while facing separate meetings that could change their lives: her family’s possible deportation to Jamaica, and his education plans at Dartmouth.
