A man takes over as the superintendent of a large apartment building in New York City, expecting an ordinary job managing its day-to-day problems. But the building carries a disturbing mystery: people connected to it have been disappearing without explanation. As the disappearances continue to cast a shadow over the place, his new position puts him close to a danger he does not understand.
