The Unattainable Story

On the opening night of a play about the tensions between love and work, Skene, a controlling stage director, is struck by a new understanding of how the production came to exist. As the performance and his own thoughts begin to overlap, the boundary between reality and fantasy grows uncertain, and he starts to suspect he may be a character shaped by the writer to influence both the play and her creative process.
