Aging baseball scout Gus Lobel is facing failing eyesight and the possibility that his latest recruiting trip could be his last. Hoping to repair their strained relationship, his grown daughter joins him as he evaluates a final prospect. On the road, father and daughter begin to reconnect, while she also draws the attention of a young former player now working as a scout.
