True Grit

After her father is murdered in the old American West, a stubborn teenage tomboy sets out to see justice done and avenge his death. To track down the killer, she recruits Rooster Cogburn, a drunken, hard-nosed U.S. Marshal known for his true grit and for getting the job done. Joined by a Texas Ranger, the unlikely group follows a dangerous path in pursuit of the man responsible.
