Best friends Elinor “Nory” Boxwood-Horace and Reina Carvajal discover they have magical abilities: Nory can transform into animals, while Reina can control fire. At Sage Academy for Magical Studies, Reina fits in, but Nory’s unusual powers place her in a class for students with “upside-down” magic. Determined not to be dismissed, Nory tries to show that her wonky magic has real strength.
