In Bodeen, Texas, an indie-rock-loving misfit feels trapped by the misery of small-town life. When she discovers a roller derby league in nearby Austin, she finds an unexpected outlet and a new way to push back against the limits around her. Drawn to the energy and independence of the sport, she begins to see a different path for herself beyond the world she has always known.
