Separated by fifty years, two children follow parallel searches for answers. In 1927, Rose lives in New York and looks for the actress whose life she carefully chronicles in her scrapbook. In 1977, Ben, a young boy from the Midwest, runs away from home to find the father he has never truly known. As their stories unfold side by side, both are drawn toward the same mysterious connection.
